Based around a new system called TMAS (Tactical Modular Audio System), this generation features clear, reliable wireless communication that removes the cable(s) between the headset and Push-To-Talk (PTT), helping to increase overall mobility. The system offers flexibility and scalability to address the needs of the modern soldier, with the ability to manage legacy and future radio systems.
The PELTOR™ ComTac™ SCU-300 (System Control Unit) forms the central hub for the TMAS system, allowing incredible communication modularity between the ComTac™ VII, TEP-300 and radio devices.
Included is also the RCU-300 (Remote Control Unit), which allows seamless remote control of the SCU-300 while mounted on a rifle (or anywhere else). It can be used as a remote PTT or adjust the volume without the need of removing one's hands from the weapon system.

CONNECTION OPTIONS
The SCU-300 is single, dual and multi-comms configurable with up to 3 physical communication connections and up to 6 two-way audio streams.
RADIO COMPATIBILITY
The SCU-300 is compatible with both single-channel radios and dual-channel radios as well as ICS (InterCom Socket) connections in vehicles.
BLUETOOTH®
Grey version of the SCU-300 allows for Bluetooth® connection and remote use with devices such as smartphones.
AUDIO MANAGEMENT
The SCU-300 can handle multiple radios, with multiple channels. In such scenarios, the user is able to select 1 of 3 sound profiles:
- Mix: Radio communication(s) are heard equally in both left & right ear
- Split: Radio communications will be split between the left and right ears
- Surround: Radio communications will be perceived as it comes from different directions

MOUNTING & PAIRING
The RCU-300 designed to be mountable on a 1913 Picatinny rail, but can also be placed elsewhere (e.g. steering wheel). Two RCU's can be paired with one SCU at the same time.
